Christine Hauskeller is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Exeter, specialized in the philosophy of medicine and in moral and political philosophy using approaches from feminist theory and the Frankfurt School. She has examined evidence production in clinical trials and has a special interest in constellations of knowledge and power, of epistemology and normativity. After two decades working on life science innovation, she began to study emerging psychedelic medicine, decolonising approaches and animism five years ago. Christine co-founded the Exeter Transdisciplinary Research Group Psychedelic Studies. Recent publications include the book Philosophy and Psychedelics. Frameworks of Exceptional Experience (Bloomsbury 2022) and the thematic journal issue on Critical Psychedelic Studies in Interdisciplinary Science Reviews (2023).
